Brush painting, 10 x 12 inches, with Japanese lettering and a paper mache Oni Mask measuring 6-1/2 x 8 inches. Oni is a class of supernatural monsters from Japanese folklore, variously translated as demons, devils, ogres or trolls. They are popular characters in Japanese art, literature and theatre. These were donated by Takayoshi Yamauchi, Director of the Mizusawa City Board of Education, School Education Division; occasion information was not provided to the City Clerk's office.
