Book of photos from the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force's 1967 Training Cruise (JMSDF). The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force is the naval branch of the Japan Self-Defense Forces. Its main tasks are to maintain control of the nation's sea lanes and to patrol territorial waters. The training squadron periodically docks in San Diego as part of its overseas training activities. The 1967 cruise was conducted under Rear Admiral S. Hoshino, Commander, Training Squadron.
