Book titled 'Dolphin Doctor'. A veterinarian and scientist remembers the extraordinary dolphin that inspired his career, by Dr. Sam Ridgway. In the 1960s, the U.S. Navy sponsored a project that would put human 'acquanauts' in an undersea habitat for long periods. It entailed training dolphins to assist divers by carrying tools and messages. The author's chief student and lab partner was Tuffy, who became the first dolphin to work with people in open waters.
