Lapel pin commemorating the 1996 Republic National Convention held at the San Diego Convention Center from August 12 to August 15, 1996. A note attached explains that the pin was made using the canework technique, originally used in glassworking for making complex designs. It is made of German polymer clay, Czech glass, Austrian crystal beads, and beads from Africa, India and the Orient. This was made and donated by local citizen and artist / craftswoman Karen Cunagin.
