12 x 16 inch wall calendar titled 'Ikebana 1996' published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japan. Ikebana, meaning living flowers, is the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement and is also known as kado - the way of flowers. The photos contained in the calendar are from four schools of Ikebana art - Ikenobo, Ko-ryu, Ohara-ryu and Sogetsu-ryu. This was mailed to the Mayor in 1995 by the Consulate General, Japan Information and Cultural Center, Los Angeles, California.
