National Night Out 1994 National Award presented by the NATW - National Association of Town Watch. The first Tuesday of August, each year, is recognized as National Night Out to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support to anti-crime efforts, and strengthen police relations. From 7-10 PM residents lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend time with neighbors and police. Many host a variety of events such as block parties, cookouts, parades, flashlight walks, and anti-crime and drug rallies.
