The People's Business - May 4, 2021
One of most important duties of the City Council is approving the budget. Mayor Todd Gloria released his proposed budget in April and this week, different City Departments will present their budgets to the Councilmembers and respond to questions they may have.
The Independent Budget Analyst also gives its own review of the proposed budget, including how it compares to the City Council's stated budget prioritites.
Beginning Wednesday May 5, The Budget Review Committee, comprising all the City Councilmembers, will meet every weekday for five days. The public will also have an opportunity to provide public comment. Subsequent meetings in May and June will allow for further comment on the budget and subsequent revisions. This will eventually lead to the approval of a budget for the fiscal year that begins on July 1, 2021.
Listed below are the agendas for May 5, 6 and 7.
