An evening committee meeting spices up the week as the budget and the environment take center stage.


 


Budget and Government Efficiency Committee – March 3, 2021 – 9 a.m.


District Six Councilmember Chris Cate leads the meeting with a full slate of items on the agenda.


 


Item 1 - Authority to Purchase Ford Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) New and Refurbished Parts and Accessories – The Fleet Operations Department proposes authorizing a five-year supplies contract with Kearny Mesa Ford-Kia to purchase Ford parts and accessories for the City’s fleet.  The resolution stipulates that the amount will not exceed $ 9,671,000.


 


OnBase LogoItem 2 – Agreement with Hyland Software, Inc. for the OnBase Software as a Service Solution – If you’re a fan of The People’s Business, you may recognize the “OnBase” name.  Committee members will consider an agreement with Hyland Software to provide the OnBase workflow, agenda preparation and document retention software used for the City’s docketing process in an amount not-to-exceed $1,064,664.


Three informational items will also be heard, including Budgeted Personnel Expenditure Savings (Item 3), Fiscal Year 2020 Business Diversity Annual Report (Item 4) and Fiscal Year 2020 Living Wage Ordinance Annual Report (Item 5).


 


Environment Committee Meeting – March 4, 2021 – 6 p.m.


District Nine, Councilmember Sean Elo-Rivera chairs the Environment Committee Meeting which will address one issue.


 


Power LinesUpdate on City of San Diego Gas and Electric Franchises Invitation to Bid (Item-1) - The City of San Diego entered 50-year franchises for gas and electric services with SDG&E in 1970. The franchise agreements were set to expire on January 17, 2021.  The two parties then negotiated an extension of existing franchise agreements through June 1, 2021.  The Office of Mayor Todd Gloria’s Policy staff will present an update on the Invitation to Bid process for the City’s gas and electric franchises, to include a summary of the feedback received.
