We only have two committee meetings this week.  The Budget and Government Efficiency Committee will discuss two service contracts and hear information on personnel actions to address high-level vacancies in positions throughout the city.  The Economic Development and Intergovernmental Relations Committee meets to consider a designation for a Black Arts and Culture District in Encanto and an amendment to the East Village Green Phase I project.

SD Convention CenterItem 2 - Sales and Marketing Services Contract between the San Diego Convention Center Corporation, Inc. and the San Diego Tourism Authority – This action is to approve the Sales and Marketing Services Contract between the San Diego Convention Center Corporation, Inc and the San Diego Tourism Authority.  The SDCCC entered into an agreement with the SDTA dated July 1, 2012, for the purpose of selling, promoting, and marketing the San Diego Convention Center to long term customers.


 


 


Item 3 - Agreement between the City of San Diego and Deloitte Consulting, LLP for full-time SAP staff augmentation technical support services – This item would approve the resolution to authorize the Mayor to execute an Agreement between the City of San Diego and Deloitte Consulting, LLP for full-time staff augmentation technical support services needed to maintain the City of San Diego’s SAP system with a not to exceed amount of $23,000,000 over a period of five years

Item 5 - Fiscal Year 2021 Business Diversity Annual Report – The Purchasing and Contracting Program is pleased to provide this annual report, which provides construction, consultant, good and services diversity participation statistics.  This report also highlights programmatic activities, achievements, and goals for the future.

Item 1 - Resolution to Designate The San Diego Black Arts and Culture District In The Encanto Community – Request that the City Council adopt the resolution to designate Imperial Avenue from 61s Street to 69th Street in Encanto as the ‘San Diego Black Arts and Culture District’.  This area was formerly referred to within the 2005 Imperial Avenue Corridor Master Plan which is within the Diamond Business Improvement District.


 


East Village Green 1Item 2 - A Second Amendment to the Compensation Agreement with Civic San Diego for the construction of the East Village Green Phase I project in the Downtown Community Plan Area, approving additional funding and related actions – The East Village Green Phase I park project is an approximately two-acre community park to be constructed in the East Village neighborhood of the Downtown Community Plan area. This item would authorize the execution of the Second Amendment to the Agreement between the City and Civic San Diego for the construction and delivery of the Project.


 


Item 3 - FY2023 Business Improvement District Budgets - Annual Appropriation Process – Annually, as required by State law, the process to approve budget reports and authorize the levy and collection of assessment occurs over two Council meetings. At the first meeting, Council is requested to:



  1. Appoints the respective advisory board for each business improvement district (BID);

  2. Approves the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 Business Improvement District (BID) Budget Reports;

  3. Declares its intention to levy and collect assessments for FY2023; and

  4. Sets the time for a legally required public hearing.
