SENIOR PERFORMANCE AUDITOR

Marye Sanchez joined the San Diego Office of the City Auditor in January 2020 as a Performance Auditor. Prior to joining the Office of the City Auditor, Marye worked at the California State Auditor. Marye has performed a variety of State and local audits, including a local audit of the City of San Diego’s (City) Brush Management on City-Owned Land, which received a 2023 Exemplary Winner Knighton Award from the Association of Local Government Auditors; and other local audits of the City’s Facility Maintenance, the City’s Get It Done Application and Service Requests Management, the City’s Equity in Recreation Program, and the City’s implementation of its Climate Action Plan. Marye has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Families from California State University, San Marcos.
