Luis Briseño, CGAP
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Luis initially joined the Office of the City Auditor in November 2010 as the Assistant to the City Auditor and subsequently advanced through the Performance Auditor series to become a Principal Performance Auditor in December 2020. During his time as an auditor, he worked on over 20 audits that covered a wide range of topics, including the audit that helped drive the launch of the 311 Customer Experience and Get it Done. Luis then served as a Program Manager in the City’s Compliance Department. In that capacity, he helped to coordinate City Management’s responses to audit reports and similar external reviews and managed the City’s Title VI Program.
Luis rejoined the Office of the City Auditor in October 2024. In his current role, Luis is responsible for ensuring day-to-day operations; assisting with strategic planning and office direction; maintaining major internal processes and functions; executing special projects; and supervising the office’s team of operations staff.
Luis is a Certified Government Auditing Professional and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley with double majors in Political Economy and Political Science.
