The City of San Diego Department of Cultural Affairs supports San Diego artists and nonprofit organizations operating in arts and culture through funding, targeted initiatives, and technical assistance. Funds are awarded for general operating support and projects that generate meaningful impacts in communities and expand access to arts and culture in every City Council district.
The Organizational Support Program (OSP) provides general operating support to city of San Diego nonprofit arts and culture organizations for the delivery of activities and programming that positively impact San Diego's quality of life and tourism and provide direct access and increased opportunities for excellence in culture and the arts.
Creative Communities San Diego (CCSD) provides project-based support for San Diego County nonprofit organizations to deliver projects in San Diego city neighborhoods that engage diverse communities in arts, culture, and creativity.
Impact is a funding category designed to shift focus periodically in order to contribute to City priorities. In its current iteration, Impact calls upon artists and nonprofit organizations in San Diego Communities of Concern and the San Diego Promise Zone to deliver innovative, change-making projects within these communities.
