Features of the Skate Park
With 40,000 square feet of concrete, this skate park has something for everyone, regardless of age or skill level. Its "street course" design features a combination bowl, along with numerous handrails, ledges, blocks, a pump bump and an octagon volcano.
One of the most awesome skateboard parks in Southern California, Robb Field is the first skateboard park constructed and operated by the City of San Diego. Designed with input from top local skateboarders, it opened in February 2000.
Directions
From Interstate 8 west, take the the Sunset Cliffs Boulevard exit (the end of the freeway) and turn left on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard. Turn right on West Point Loma Boulevard. Turn right on Bacon Street. The park is at the end of the street.
Located at the entrance to Ocean Beach, the skate park is accessible by bus via SDMTS Routes 35 and 923.
Skate Park Hours
Open 10 a.m. to dusk every day of the year, including holidays.
Know the Rules!
- A parent or legal guardian must accompany children under 12 years.
- The only devices allowed in a skate park are skateboards, rollerskates, rollerblades and in-line skates. Any other devices, including but not limited to bicycles, scooters and motorized vehicles, are unlawful.
- Skaters must be in full safety equipment to enter: Helmets, Elbow and Knee Pads designed for skateboarding.
- Visitors/spectators who are not skating must remain outside the fenced area.
- No smoking, alcohol, food or drink, or glass containers are allowed inside the skate park.
- Littering and graffiti are not permitted.
- Unauthorized ramps, jumps or obstacles cannot be used inside or outside the skate park area.
- Animals are not permitted in the skate park.
