A multi-bay electronic parking meter demonstration was installed on the south-side of the 1400 block of
University Avenue in May 2002. The meter replaces seven (7) traditional single-head meters serving diagonal parking spaces. The sleek, stainless steel
multi-bay meters are expected to decrease the need for service and maintenance, as well as reduce meter clutter on the sidewalk. During the demonstration,
the City and Uptown Partnership, Inc. will assess public reaction to the new parking meter. A second multi-bay parking meter demonstration is scheduled for
