Bridge to Home
The City of San Diego's award-winning affordable housing program was created to provide gap financing for qualified developers. Interested developers need to be deemed qualified first, and can go to this Request for Qualifications page for more information:

CDBG
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funds a variety of housing, community, and economic development projects and programs that benefit low-to-moderate income populations and areas.
Funding is primarily allocated to nonprofits who have been deemed qualified during the Request for Qualification (RFQ) phase of the application process during that fiscal year. The link below lists the qualifications:

Promise Zone
The San Diego Promise Zone is a federally designated area that spans from East Village and Barrio Logan east to Encanto and is home to the City's most culturally rich and ethnically diverse neighborhoods. Promise Zone partners include local government agencies, community-based organizations, direct service providers, investors, residents, and business owners. They collaboratively streamline resources and deliver comprehensive support to improve the quality of life of residents.

Arts, Culture, & Community Festivals: City Council Offices annually award nonprofits that promote local arts and culture
CPPS Funding: The Community Projects, Programs, and Services Funding Program are awarded to nonprofits and public agencies for one-time community, social, environmental, cultural, and recreational needs that serve lawful public purposes.
Commission of Arts and Culture: The Commission of Arts and Culture awards for arts and cultural activities. The City strives to advance and drive an equitable and inclusive creative economy.
