The Festival of the Year! This 2 day event showcases the diverse and rich cuisine of Laos right here in Mira Mesa Community Park, from 11:00-7:00 PM on Saturday and 11:00-6:00 PM on Sunday.
Visitors can expect to find a variety of food stalls selling a range of traditional dishes, from savory to sweet desserts. Some unique and delicious dishes can’t even be ordered in local Lao restaurants. Enjoy cultural dance performances, live entertainment, and art exhibits.

43rd Annual Ocean Beach Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off
Kick off summer at the 43rd Annual OB Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the 4800 - 5000 blocks of Newport Avenue, along the waterfront and in the OB pier parking lot. Thousands of locals and visitors enjoy an oceanfront Chili Cook-Off, an array of food and merchandise vendors, 3 stages of continuous music, the Community Mural Project, Artist Alley featuring local artisans, the beach side beer garden hosts attendees ages 21 +, a Seaside Family Fun Zone with inflatables and games for the whole family, and tons of fun and something for everyone!
Parking is available at the Sun Runner parking lot located on Seaworld Drive at Pacific Coast Highway. Trolley services will run from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. from parking lot to two drop off locations in Ocean Beach. There are also two ride share drop off locations, along with plenty of ADA parking in downtown Ocean Beach.

This festival is held annually on July 4th, with events occurring throughout the day in Webb Park and other venues in the Rancho Bernardo area. Starting at 9:00 am, we have a Community Fair with booths for organizations and vendors. The Fair also has a Patriotic Pet Contest, Quilt Show, Motor Show and a Veterans Memorial Ceremony.
At 3:30 pm we have a parade with about 100 entries.

Lake Murray MusicFest and Fireworks
Join us for a July 4th celebration to include a day of food, fun, bands, and fireworks.
Fireworks will be launched at Lake Murray, and can be seen from anywhere you can see the lake. The music fest will be held on the San Carlos side of the lake at the Lake Murray Playground, but the La Mesa side will also be open throughout the day and evening for fireworks viewing.

Trick - Or - Treat on India Street
We are welcoming back our favorite Halloween tradition, Trick-or-Treat on India Street! On Sunday, October 29th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Little ghouls and goblins of all ages are encouraged to dress up in their best costumes and enjoy an evening of authentic trick-or-treating with their families. Little witches and monsters will be able to stop door-to-door and get delicious Halloween treats and candy from participating Little Italy businesses along the historic India Street.
Maps of participating businesses will be available as the trick-or-treat fun happens at the Piazza della Famiglia on India and W. Date Street. You won’t want to miss out on this year’s fun!
We have asked our participating businesses to have staff that is passing out candy to wear a face covering and gloves as an additional safety precaution.

8th Annual Unleash the Holiday Cheer
San Diego's most charitable, pet-friendly Pet and military Appreciation event of the year (and voted as one of San Diego's Favorite Events 2020), "Unleash the Holiday Cheer," presented by the McBeth Foundation!
